Phil adheres to the ethical guidelines of the Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP):
available at https://anlp.org/anlp-members-code-of-ethics. He uses a combination of NLP techniques combined with several other approaches, all of which are 'non-contact' and mostly 'content-free'. Please ask Phil to explain these terms.
1. Are you happy for Phil to work with you in ways that will bring about clear understanding in:
Learning about your motivation, your values and what is really important to you, and the strategies that will support you?
2. Do you give Phil permission to:
Challenge you with powerful questions and invite you to take action?
Ask you about the actions you agree to take – and whether you’ve carried them out?
Give as an example, where appropriate – share brief descriptions of your work together to others, whilst always ensuring that you remain anonymous?
3. Finally, do you agree to:
Inform Phil immediately if you're currently engaging, or planning to engage with another practitioner/coach/therapist.
(Please note, to avoid possible confusion, overload, or conflict in approaches - Phil will normally advise not to concurrently work with another practitioner)
Take full responsibility for yourself and others in your care throughout the coaching schedule?
Always continue any prescribed medication/treatment until advised otherwise by your medical practitioner, and to inform Phil if this happens?
Keep telling Phil what’s working … and what isn’t?
Ask if you’re unsure about anything?
Always give as early notice as possible if you can’t attend a session.
